We are sometimes asked if it is possible to keep the stump after a tree removal. Here’s a couple of suggestions!
Create a feature with the stump - We can leave the stump tall so it is less of a trip hazard. Our clients have been really creative with using leftover high stumps in the garden, including growing climbing plants over the stump, creating a mini fairy garden landscape for grandchildren & even carving out a chair shape.
Keep it for wildlife and habitat - Leave your stump in place for wildlife and to create habitat. Tall stumps can make a great perch or landing pad for birds or even a habitat for bugs and grubs. Why not attach at bee hotel to the side of the stump or place a bird bath or feeding dish on the top?
