Jack Cotterill Tree Services: this years sponsor ‘Support Staff of The Year’

Jack Cotterill Tree Services are proud to have sponsored the Award for ‘Support Staff Of The Year’, at the Worcestershire Education Awards 2024.

These awards shine a spotlight on those who continue to make a difference in the field of education. They seek to reward those members of the teaching and education sector for their hard work both in the classroom and behind the scenes.

We know from our previous awards how much of a difference, many teachers make to the lives of our young people.

This prestigious scheme recognises the achievements, passion and dedication of those involved in all kinds of education – from nurseries to primary and secondary schools as well as colleges and training schemes.

Of the twelve award categories, we chose to sponsor this particular award because Support Staff can make such a big difference to young people who find school and education a struggle and wanted to recognise the passion and dedication Support Staff offer both in the classroom and behind the scenes, supporting not only the pupils but also the teaching staff.

The winner of the Support Staff of the Year is Ailsa Deakin (Abbey Park School).

Alisa said:

“I was gobsmacked I won.
It is all down to the team, the people and the school.
I love what I do, and I am just about to retire.
This is like the swan song to my retirement”.
