JCTS: Why Good Communication Matters on Site
In tree work, clear communication between the climber and the ground crew isn’t just helpful - it’s essential. Knowing exactly when a cut is being made, where timber is going or when to hold off can make all the difference to keeping everyone safe and the job running smoothly.
At Jack Cotterill Tree Services, we’ve taken another step forward by improving how our teams communicate on site. We now use Bluetooth communication units across our crews, allowing climbers and ground staff to stay in constant hands-free contact - even in loud or busy environments.
This means less shouting, fewer hand signals, and no second-guessing. Just clear instructions, better teamwork, and a safer, more efficient worksite from start to finish.
It’s another way we’re investing in our team, our safety standards and the quality of work we deliver every day.
